We also experienced this in English: "kiss me!" = "excuse me!". And did you notice the bags and clothes from "The North Fake" yet? ;-) Pictures are indeed super (as expected)!!! After a week I am not sure about the context for turuk. But maybe you are right.
We also had the question "shisha?" And where not sure because we did not see anybody smoking.
And indeed it was "shoe shine?"
So Language is strange 😃😃

After checking the Nguyen-Dynasty it must be Tu Duc, the 4th emperor. But if so, it's horrible what we did understand. Or better: not understand :-( Could have been clear with the context, but if you not understand any word it's hard to follow the story.
